For the benefit of our students,
we keep a huge range of around 1,500 books in stock.
We have classical, AMEB and popular music books on hand.
We also carry all the popular courses
(MicroJazz, Alfreds, Blitz, Premier, All-In-One,
Music For Little Mozarts, Complete Piano Player etc).
We also have a range of pieces suitable for beginners,
as well as for those following the exam syllabus.
We also have around 400 pieces of sheet music.
Over the years
we've produced a range of 'easy-play'
music at different levels.
The pieces are
computer typeset and laser printed at 1200dpi.
Titles include: Fur Elise (Beethoven, THREE different
levels), Tristesse Etude (Chopin), 2001 (Strauss), Groovy Kind Of Love,
Hall Of The Mountain King (Grieg), Morning Mood (Grieg), Advance
Australia Fair, Ode To Joy, As The Deer, Strange Lands & People
(Schumann), and some of my own compositions, like T-Rex and Malaguena.
Most teachers can't offer this calibre of easy arrangements.

Most
media players will play the fabulous OGG format without difficulty.
However, if you need a good OGG player, try
WINAMP, MEDIA-MONKEY,
or the classic OGGDROP
We have a music
library with around 200 books and 2000 CD's.
Binding & laminating are also available on-site.
We have A4/A3 photocopying, and an official Government Copyright License
(SE-3887), allowing us to make legal copies for students.
Very few teachers have for this license.
We have 1,800 MIDI files, a range of legal music software that we have
arranged to distribute FREE to our students, and an
assortment of FREE classical music books.
SMC and the
students support Kalkidan Semegn,
a young girl from Woreda, Ethopia.
Students can
write to Kalkidan if they wish:
her letters to us are published in our newsletter.
Waiting
Facilities For Parents |
We have
comfortable seating both indoors and outdoors. Tea and coffee facilities
are available.
The attendance (and indeed the participation) of
parents at music lessons is welcome!
Younger students
often benefit from the encouragement of a parent;
and teachers benefit by having someone at home that knows what should be
practised.
We
teach morning, after-school and evening classes.
Please call on 4751-6196 for
an appointment.
